CONWAY, Ark. – After taking a week off due to inclement weather, the Central Arkansas women's basketball team returns to the court for a road contest against Nicholls on Saturday. The Sugar Bears and Colonels will meet for the 15th time in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and the last time as members of the Southland Conference.
Last time out, Savannah Walker led UCA with a season-high 18 points, which tied her career high. She added a team-high six assists and three rebounds.
Briana Trigg tied a season high with 10 rebounds and chipped in with eight points.
Lucy Ibeh leads the Sugar Bears with 12.9 points per game, 7.1 rebounds per game, and steals with 38. Ibeh is tied for third on the team with 18 assists.
Tori Lasker leads the team with 36 assists and is averaging 5.1 points per game. Walker is second on the team with 6.3 points per game and second with 34 assists.
Briana Trigg is second on the team averaging 5.4 rebounds per game and is averaging 4.9 points per game.
Jayla Cody leads the Sugar Bears with 14 blocks.
Central Arkansas leads the overall series 18-10, including a 56-42 victory in Conway earlier this season. The Sugar Bears hold a 9-5 advantage in meetings in Thibodaux.
Chelsea Cain paces the Colonels with 16.6 points per game and in rebounds per game with 8.2. Chyna Allen is second on the team with 10.2 points per game and is second on the team with 32 assists. Anna McKendree rounds out the double-digit scores with 10.1 points per game and she has a team-high 41 steals. Alex Bolozova has produced a team-high 11 blocks.
