CONWAY, Ark. _  The University of Central Arkansas Bears signed Carl Daughtery Jr. to an NCAA Letter of Intent on Wednesday.

Daughtery, from Maumelle (Ark.) High School, is a 6-foot-2 combo guard who averaged 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Maumelle Hornets as a junior. 

"CJ is an elite shooter and can score in bunches,' said UCA head coach Anthony Boone. "I am very excited to have another young man of great character and academic prowess to become part of our UCA family.'

Daughtery Jr. joins Cameron Wallace of Little Rock Parkview as recent Bears signees.
