HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – After one round of golf, the Central Arkansas women's golf team holds second place in a field of 11 teams at the Little Rock Golf Classic, hosted at the Diamante Country Club.
Camila Moreno leads the field, with four Bears taking top-15 spots on Day One.
Tallying four birdies and zero bogeys, Moreno sits atop the leaderboard at a 4-under 68. The sophomore played a pair of birdies at the end of her first round to pull ahead of the field. Not far behind Moreno is
Tania Nunez, who is currently tied for sixth place after one round at a 1-under 71.
A pair of Bears are tied at 15
th after one, as
Elin Kumlin and
Karley Whittington both putting together rounds of 2-over 74.
Competing as individuals,
Madison Holmes and
Pear Rittawee also posted good days on the course. Holmes is tied for 25
th with a score of 3-over 75, while Rittawee sits at 34
th with a 76.
Pim-orn Thitisup fired off a 5-over 77, with
Tanja Csaszar clocking in at a 8-over 80 for the day.
The Bears will be back in action on Monday, with a 9:30 a.m. start-time.
