CONWAY, Ark. —The University of Central Arkansas women's basketball team looks to bounce back after a hard-fought battle against ACU. The Sugar Bears hit the road for a mid-week matchup at Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday. UCA is 17-17 in conference play after losing a game.
Lucy Ibeh continued to make her presence known as she recorded her second-consecutive double-double over the weekend. She had a team-high 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds against ACU. With
Jalisa Outlaw sidelined with an injury, Ibeh leads the team averaging 10.9 points per game. Ibeh leads the team with 6.9 rebounds per game and has produced a team-high 27 steals. Ibeh's 27 steals is tied for 78th in the NCAA and is fifth in the Southland, while her 2.25 steals per game is tied for 93rd in the country and is tied for fourth in the SLC.
Tori Lasker nearly tied her career best as she scored 12 points against ACU. Lasker leads the team with 30 assists and is averaging 4.8 points per game.
Terri Crawford tied a season-high 10 points last time out and is averaging 5.9 points per game.
Briana Trigg is coming off of a game where she tied her career best with four assists and added eight points. Trigg is second on the team averaging 5.1 rebounds per game.
Jayla Cody tied a career-high two blocked shots and leads UCA with nine blocks on the season. Cody is third on the team with 3.9 rebounds per game.
Savanna Walker had a game-high two steals against ACU and second on the team with 13 on the year.
Central Arkansas holds an 18-10 advantage against Southeastern Louisiana. SLU leads the series in Hammond, 8-6. In the last meeting, UCA defeated SLU, 54-47, in Conway, on March 4, 2020.
Morgan Carrier leads the Lady Lions with 13.0 points per game. Carrier is tied for 79th in the country with 2.33 3-pointers per game and is third in the SLC. She is shooting 41.2 percent from being the arc and is tied for 65th in the NCAA and leads the conference. Cierria Cunningham is averaging double-digit points with 11.6 per game. Chrissy Brown leads SLU with 5.9 rebounds per game and is averaging 6.9 points per game. Breonca Ducksworth leads the team with 22 steals and with 30 assists. The Lady Lions are tied for 34th in the nation with a 36.0 3-point field goal percentage and are second in the conference. SLU is ranked 28th in the NCAA with 10.7 steals per game and is fifth in the SLC.
