PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The University of Central Arkansas women's golf team opened round one of the Callaway Gardens Invite with a combined score of 289 (+5).
Tania Nunez led the way with a 68 (-3) and is tied for the lead.
Nunez posted an unblemished front nine with birdies on the par-4 fifth and the par-5 ninth. She added three more birdies on the back nine and finished with a career-best round of 68 (-3). She is tied for first.
Elin Kumlin is tied for sixth after an opening round of 72 (+1). She recorded back-to-back birdies on the par-4 sixth and par-4 seventh. She added an eagle on the par-5 12th.
Pear Rittawee produced a first-round score of 74 (+3) and is tied for 19th. She notched birdies on the par-4 eighth, par-2 10th, and par-4 18th.
After a tally of 75 (+4),
Pim-Orn Thitisup is tied for 26th. She recorded birdies on the par-4 third, and the par-4 11th.
Camila Moreno birdied the par-5 15th and finished the round with a 79 (+8). She is tied for 52nd after round one.
