Timon Dresselhaus,
Zac Bitton, and
Luke Anthony represented the University of Central Arkansas at the Jayhawk Classic with four events of the men's heptathlon on Thursday at Bill Easton Track.

Dresselhaus started the day with a win in the 60m with a career-best time of 7.20. Bitton placed fifth with a season-best effort of 7.41. Anthony added a personal-best run of 7.49 and finished in seventh.

Dresselhaus led UCA in the long jump with a distance of 6.50m (21-4.00) and finished in fifth. Bitton placed sixth with a season-best mark with a leap of 6.45m (21-2.00), which tied his career best. Anthony recorded a seventh-place jump of 6.08m.

Bitton led the Bears with a career-best toss of 12.51m (41-0.50) and came in second in the shot put. Dresselhaus placed third with a season-best throw of 12.49m (40-11.75). With a personal-best distance of 10.07m (33-0.50), Anthony finished in fifth.

In the final event of the day, Dresselhaus recorded a season-best height of 1.81m (5-11.25) and placed third in the high jump. Anthony finished in fourth with a season-best leap of 1.78m (5-10.00). Bitton notched a season-best jump of 1.72m (5-7.75) and came in sixth.

Dresselhaus currently sits in second place after four events of the heptathlon with a score of 2,782. Bitton is in fifth with 2,625, while Anthony is in seventh with 2,420.

The final day of competition begins on Friday at 9 a.m., with the women's pentathlon 60m hurdles on the track. Field events start with the women's weight throw at 9 a.m.
