Edinburg, Tx - It was a night of few chances for both squads tonight as UTRGV hosted Central Arkansas in a hard fought match. 
 
First Half
 
The first half saw neither squad create a clear cut goal scoring opportunity as neither hit a shot on target through 45 minutes of play. UCA finished with three total shots in the first half, but all were either blocked or sailed over the crossbar. 
 
Second Half
 

• The second half saw the Bears create a few chances early on, including a Daishi Uekuri strike that flew just high in the 55th minute. 
• The deadlock would finally be broken in the 70th minute when UTRGV striker Bryce Box turned and found the bottom left corner from just inside the 18 yard box. 
• Central Arkansas's best opportunity of the night came in the 75th minute when Katsuyoshi Kimishima's left footed strike rattled the post and fell into the path of Kasper Andersen, whose follow up effort flew just over the crossbar. 
• The final opportunity would come from Soren Jensen, whose free kick strike from about 25 yards out forced a save from the UTRGV keeper, on a great effort that was headed towards the top right corner. 

 
Central Arkansas finished the match with 12 total shots, but only one on frame while UTRGV finished with just nine total shots.
