SUGAR BEARS GO FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT AS MCNEESE VISITS ON WEDNESDAY

Victorious in three straight, the Sugar Bears will look to continue their longest winning streak of the season on Wednesday as they host McNeese at 7:00pm in the Farris Center. After stumbling out of the gates in Southland play with a 2-7 league mark midway through the conference slate, the Sugar Bears have turned things around in a big way in the second half of the Southland season – winning the last three games by a combined 83 points, an average margin of 27.7 points.

They'll try to keep it rolling against a McNeese team that has been outscored by 15.2 points per game this season and had dropped four in a row before winning 75-70 at Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday. The Cowgirls are 2-9 away from home this season, having also scored a 69-68 win at Nicholls on January 16. In what was one of the Southland's top rivalries earlier this decade, with the Sugar Bears winning five times and the Cowgirls four from 2011-2014, the Sugar Bears have dominated the series of late – winning the last six meetings.
