CONWAY — After playing four of their last five on the road, the Sugar Bears return to the Farris Center for their final two non-conference tuneups beginning with Crowley's Ridge College at 7:00pm Saturday.

The meeting between the Sugar Bears (2-5) and Lady Pioneers (3-6) will mark the fifth straight season the programs have met, with the Sugar Bears having dominated the series over the NAIA Division II squad – having won the last four meetings by an average of 98-32, including topping the 100-point mark twice.

Last season, the Sugar Bears outscored the Lady Pioneers 52-14 in the 2nd half en route to a 91-33 victory in the Farris Center, with five players in double figures led by Alana Canady with 18 in 21 minutes. Hannah Langhi also had 12 points in that game, while Taylor Sells had 7 points, 6 assists and 3 steals in 23 minutes.

CRC comes in having lost 88-32 in an exhibition contest at UA-Monticello on Tuesday, and fell 107-65 to Midway University on Nov. 23 in their last game of record. The Lady Pioneers have notched wins over Ecclesia College (73-42), Welch College (72-54) and Ozark Christian College (76-64). The Lady Pioneers are led by 5-foot-5 guard Octavia Lowery, who averages 14.8 points and 2.6 steals per game, and 5-5 guard Hannah Cunningham at 11.2 points per game. CRC is averaging 12.2 steals per game, but has turned it over an average of 25.9 times per contest.

The Sugar Bears are fresh off a 76-46 loss at No. 12 Texas A&M, a game in which they were outscored by just 4 in the 2nd half – including a 3rd quarter in which they doubled up the Aggies by a count of 16-8 while playing without second-leading scorer Terri Crawford who missed the game due to injury.

It will be just the third home game of the season for the Sugar Bears, who are 2-0 in the Farris Center with a 104-28 win over Hendrix and a 57-54 win over Jackson State last weekend. The Sugar Bears will remain at home for a week, hosting crosstown foe Central Baptist on Dec. 15 before beginning Southland Conference play on the road at Incarnate Word on Dec. 18.

Fans presenting a ticket from the football Bears' playoff game against Illinois State will receive free admission to Saturday night's game.
