SUGAR BEARS OPEN HOMESTAND WITH LEAGUE-UNBEATEN SFA

After playing five of their last seven on the road, the Sugar Bears return to the Farris Center for three straight and four of their next five, beginning Wednesday night with Stephen F. Austin, which comes in 15-3 overall and unbeaten in conference play at 6-0.

NOTES
•  After winning the previous four meetings, the Sugar Bears dropped all three games against the Ladyjacks last season – losing 59-46 in Nacogdoches; 55-50 in Conway; and 70-60 in the Southland Conference tournament in Katy, Texas. In the final two meetings, Kamry Orr averaged 16.5 points and 8 rebounds for the Sugar Bears – scoring 24 of the Sugar Bears' 50 points in the meeting in the Farris Center. In the clash in the Southland tournament, Taylor Sells had 17 points for the Sugar Bears on 8-of-9 shooting from the field.
• The matchup features the Southland's two winningest programs over the last decade, with the Sugar Bears having a league-best 200 victories since the 2009-10 season and the Ladyjacks just behind at 196.
• The Sugar Bears were 3rd in this season's Southland preseason poll and the Ladyjacks 2nd  Last season, the Sugar Bears finished 3rd in the league standings at 14-4 while SFA was 2nd at 16-2.
• The Sugar Bears lead the Southland and rank 36th nationally in scoring defense at 57.3 points per game.
