SUGAR BEARS HEAD TO ABILENE LOOKING FOR ROAD SWING SWEEP

After picking up a 62-60 win at New Orleans on Wednesday, the Sugar Bears look to make it a perfect week on the road on Saturday as they take on Abilene Christian at 1:00pm in Moody Coliseum. The Sugar Bears have won four straight over the Wildcats, including all three meetings last season. This year ACU is off to a 5-2 start in league play but is coming off a 71-55 loss at home to Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday.

NOTES
•  The Sugar Bears swept the Wildcats in three meetings last season, winning by an average of 14.3 points. In the final meeting of the season in the Southland Conference tournament, the Sugar Bears never trailed. In the three games, the Sugar Bears held the Wildcats to 11 for 45 (24.4 percent) from 3-point range.
• The Sugar Bears were 3rd in this season's Southland preseason poll and the Wildcats 6th.  Last season, the Sugar Bears finished 3rd in the league standings at 14-4 while ACU was 7th at 9-9.
• The Sugar Bears lead the Southland and rank 23rd nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 56.2 points per game. In 9 road games, the Sugar Bears are allowing 63.9 per game, and 59.0 through seven conference games. ACU is 2nd in the league in scoring offense at 74.7 per game, behind Lamar at 79.5.
• In Southland games, the Sugar Bears rank 3rd in the conference in 3-point percentage - hitting 33.0 percent. While ACU leads the league in 3-pointers made (54 - 7.7 per game), the Wildcats rank 8th in percentage, hitting 29.7 percent in league play. For the season, ACU is 140-of-469 - 29.9 percent. The Sugar Bears are 59-of-219, 26.9 percent.
• Sophomore forward Hannah Langhi had her first collegiate double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in Wednesday's win at New Orleans. In the Sugar Bears' last two victories, Langhi has averaged 13.5 points and 9 rebounds in 33 minutes per game, shooting 52.2 percent from the field. For the season she is averaging 5.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 15.5 minutes per game.
• ACU ranks 1st in the Southland and 21st in the nation in rebound margin, grabbing 8.3 per game more than the opposition; and the Wildcats also top the conference in 3-point attempts with 469 (26 per game), which ranks 22nd in the country.
• The Wildcats have four players averaging double figures in scoring for the season, and feature three of the top nine scorers in Southland play with Dominique Golightly 4th (17.6), Sara Williamson 7th (16.0) and Breanna Wright 9th (14.7).
• Williamson (5.7) and Wright (4.6) are 2nd and 3rd in Southland play in assists per game as the Wildcats are averaging 16.8 assists per game, second best in the Southland.
• The Sugar Bears have used 14 different starting lineups through 17 games this season. Against New Orleans on Wednesday, the Sugar Bears started Taylor Sells, Kamry Orr, Maddie Goodner, Hannah Langhi and Mekaylan Hicks. The Sugar Bears are 2-0 this season when using that starting lineup.
• The Sugar Bears have had four players miss a total of 20 games due to injury this season, having had their full roster available for only four games.
