NOTES
•  The Sugar Bears swept the Colonels last season, winning 69-48 in Thibodaux and 60-42 in Conway. Kamry Orr, who had a career-high 32 points for the Sugar Bears in the win at Nicholls, averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal against the Colonels last year.
• Nicholls' Cassidy Barrios, last season's Southland Conference Player of the year with averages of 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, averaged 13, 5 and 1 against the Sugar Bears. This season, Barrios leads the Southland in 11 categories and ranks among the league top 10 in 21 categories. She ranks 1st in Nicholls program history in blocks, 2nd in points, rebounds, 3-point percentage and free throw percentage, 3rd in steals and 5th in assists.
• The Sugar Bears were 3rd in the Southland preseason poll and the Colonels 4th.  Last season, the Sugar Bears finished 3rd in the league standings at 14-4 while the Colonels were tied for 4th at 11-7.
