NOTES
•  Incarnate Word is the lone Southland team to have never recorded a win against the Sugar Bears, with Central Arkansas holding a 5-0 record with four of the five wins coming by double digits (the other being a 9-point win), with the average margin being 16.6 points.
• The Sugar Bears were 3rd in the Southland preseason poll and the Cardinals 12th.  Last season, the Sugar Bears finished 3rd in the league standings at 14-4 while the Cardinals  were 11th at 4-14.
• In last season's 57-35 Sugar Bear win in San Antonio, Kamry Orr had 27 points and 6 steals, shooting 8-17 FG, 2-2 3pt and 9-9 FT.
• The Sugar Bears lead the Southland and rank 30th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 56.3 points per game. In 6 games in the Farris Center, the Sugar Bears have surrendered just 45.5 points per game, outscoring the opposition by 21.7 points per game.
• The Sugar Bears have used 13 different starting lineups through 14 games this season, going with the same lineup in their first two Southland games. Sophomore forward Mekaylan Hicks had been the lone Sugar Bear to start every game through the first 10 games before missing the first two conference games with a concussion. Hicks returned with a career-high 17 points at Sam Houston State last Wednesday.
• In all, 12 Sugar Bears have started games this season with Kamry Orr starting 13, Hicks 12 and Taylor Sells 10.
• With Mekaylan Hicks (concussion symptoms) out for the game, the Sugar Bears have had four players miss a total of 20 games due to injury this season.

The Sugar Bears are at home again on Saturday, hosting Nicholls at 2:00pm in the first game of a doubleheader in the Farris Center with the Bears & Colonels to follow at 4:00pm. The Sugar Bears then hit the road again next week, taking on New Orleans and Abilene Christian.
