• The Sugar Bears are facing their second Big XII opponent of the season, having lost 62-52 at Oklahoma on Dec. 5 – a game in which Central Arkansas trailed by just three with under four minutes to play. The Sugar Bears are 0-9 all-time against the Big XII, going 0-2 against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech and 0-1 against K-State, Baylor and Texas.
• K-State has faced one Southland Conference opponent already this season, beating Southland preseason favorite Lamar 73-55 on Dec. 5.
• K-State head coach Jeff Mittie is 86-57 in his 5th season in Manhattan, following 15 years at TCU. Prior to TCU, Mittie spent four seasons at Arkansas State, where he was 75-42.
• Mittie (540) and Sugar Bears head coach Sandra Rushing (537) have combined for 1,077 wins during their careers.
• K-State's roster features 10 players standing 6-feet or taller; by contrast, the Sugar Bears will counter with only three.
• The Sugar Bears rank 7th nationally in scoring defense, giving up 51.1 points per game and are 10th in offensive rebounding, getting 18 per game.
