• The Sugar Bears mark the 3rd straight Southland Conference opponent for the Lady Braves, who fell 77-59 at home to Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 15 before hitting the road to take on Northwestern State – losing 78-65 on Nov. 20.
• The Sugar Bears are 8-1 against teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference under head coach Sandra Rushing, with 7 wins over Alcorn State and a 1-1 mark against Jackson State.
• In last year's meeting with the Lady Braves, four Sugar Bears scored in double figures – though only one returns as Kamry Orr (14 points) joined seniors Taylor Baudoin (20), Kierra Jordan (20) and Angel Williams (10) in double digits in the win.
• Despite having dropped their last two games, the Sugar Bears still rank 12th nationally in scoring defense – allowing just 49.3 points per game. Conversely, Alcorn State is surrendering 75.5 points per game.
• Led by 15 from senior guard Alanie Fisher, the Sugar Bears rank 7th in the nation in offensive rebounds – averaging 19 per game. They have 1 more rebound on the offensive end than they do defensively this season.
• Through four games, the Sugar Bears are shooting just 13.3 percent (8 of 60) from 3-point range. Kamry Orr (4 in 4 games) and Maddie Goodner (2 in 2 games) are the only Sugar Bears to connect from beyond the arc multiple times.
