CONWAY — After traveling to Waco to play No. 3 Baylor last week, the Sugar Bears return to action and to the Farris Center tonight when they host Alcorn State at 6:00pm, kicking off a stretch where they play four of their next five at home.
The Sugar Bears (1-1) swept the Lady Braves last season – winning 71-57 at Alcorn and 59-45 in Conway – and lead the series 6-0. It will be the sixth straight year the teams have faced off, with the series beginning in 2012 with a 47-39 Sugar Bear win in Lorman, Miss.
A win would be the 16th consecutive non-conference home win for the Sugar Bears, who are 27-3 overall in their last 30 games in the Farris Center.
Following tonight's game, they are off until next Tuesday when they host Crowley's Ridge before heading to Knoxville to take on the Tennessee Lady Vols on Nov. 30. Home dates with Williams Baptist and Central Baptist on Dec. 4 and 7 round out the non-conference home slate, with five straight on the road to follow.
