"Tonight we made too many mistakes to give the game away," said UCA head coach Ross Duncan following the match. "Our guys fought and scrapped and did a lot right, but on the road in conference we need more than that. We can't make mistakes. It's an important lesson for us as we near the end of the season and prep for the tournament. We can't afford to miss this one; we have to learn and improve."
Central Arkansas closes out the Missouri Valley portion of its schedule on Saturday afternoon, heading to Peoria, Illinois to take on the Bradley Braves. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM. The Bears will then return home for their final regular season match of the 2017 schedule, hosting the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles at the Bills Stephens Complex at 6:00 PM next Tuesday.
"With Bradley on Saturday we have a chance to get it right and finish our conference play on a high note. That is such an important game for us, as it will lead us into the playoffs. We need to get a top performance from our players and commit to being mistake free."
