CONWAY — Riding a three game winning streak, Central Arkansas will look to make it four in a row on Friday as the Sugar Bears host Crowley's Ridge College in the Farris Center at 6:00pm in the third of four straight games at home.
The Sugar Bears (4-1) have outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points in their four wins so far this season, including a pair of 14-point wins over Alcorn State and wins over Hendrix and Williams Baptist by a combined 82 points.
The Lady Pioneers come into Friday's game with a 2-7 record, having dropped their last four – most recently suffering a 90-65 loss at Central Baptist College in Conway on Nov. 29. The Lady Pioneers' last win was also against CBC, winning 77-75 in Paragould on Nov. 8 following a 93-70 win over Welch College three days earlier.
In last season's meeting, the Sugar Bears won easily with a 93-38 victory in which they forced the Lady Pioneers into 27 turnovers and outscored CRC 52-4 in the paint.
Raquel Logan – coming off a 13-point, 13-rebound, 4-block, 4-steal performance in Tuesday night's win over Alcorn State – had a career-high 17 points and 13 rebounds in last season's win over the Lady Pioneers.
The Sugar Bears will be going for their 13th consecutive non-conference home victory. Following Friday's game, they will take a break from competition for final exams, and resume play on Dec. 12 against CBC before heading to Texas Tech on Dec. 14 and finishing their non-conference slate with neutral site games at UTSA on Dec. 19 and 20 where they will play Liberty and Houston.
