BEAUMONT, Texas — After having their five-game winning streak snapped at home by Stephen F. Austin last week, the Sugar Bears look to start a new one tonight as they hit the road to take on Lamar in the first of a two-game road swing this week, with Houston Baptist coming up on Thursday.
The Sugar Bears (9-6, 2-1 Southland) come into tonight's game against the Lady Cardinals (5-9, 2-1) looking to break a two-game losing streak vs. Lamar, having lost last season's meeting 56-53 in Conway and dropping the 2013 meeting in Beaumont 76-53. UCA had won the previous four meetings against Lamar, and the Sugar Bears trail 6-8 in the all-time series.
