Conway – The Central Arkansas men's soccer team is in the home stretch of their spring schedule with just three matches remaining. The Bears will play what promises to be their most meaningful match of the spring on Saturday, welcoming the Central Baptist College Mustangs to the Bill Stephens Soccer Complex, where the teams will play in honor of Shafial Mason, who passed away in a car accident on November 23
rd.
A native of New Holland, Jamaica, Mason spent three years with the program at Central Arkansas, scoring a pair of goals and assisting on two more. Over his three seasons in purple and grey, Shafial made 40 appearances for a total of 1,722 minutes before he transferred to CBC to finish his career.
The Bears and the Mustangs will kick off at 7:00 on Saturday evening. The teams will be accepting donations in Mason's memory, which will help support his family.
