After a week-long break for final exams, the Sugar Bears return to action on Sunday when they face Georgia Tech at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta at 3 p.m. Central.
The Sugar Bears (4-4) meet up with the Yellow Jackets (5-4) for the second time, having lost the first meeting 67-61 in the Bahamas on Dec. 21, 2011. Sunday's game will be just the third against ACC competition for the Sugar Bears, who also lost 90-57 at Miami on Dec. 30, 2007. The Sugar Bears are 2-2 away from the Farris Center this season, while Georgia Tech is 3-1 at home this season and has won 14 of its last 17 non-conference home games.
The Yellow Jackets, whose lone home loss this season was a 64-57 setback to No. 24 Georgia, has dropped its last two games – most recently falling 79-73 in overtime to No. 16 Michigan State. The Yellow Jackets are led by sophomore guard Kaela Davis, who was just named to the Naismith Trophy Top 50 Watch List. The 6-foot-2 sophomore averages 18.4 points per game, 4th best in the ACC, and 5.9 rebounds per game. Senior 5-foot-8 guard Sydney Wallace averages 14.1 points and leads the team with 21 3-pointers made on the season, and 6-foot junior guard Aaliyah Whiteside averages 11.2 points. Roddreka Rogers, a 6-foot junior forward, averages 8.7 points and is 4th in the ACC at 10.3 rebounds per game.

Kelsey McClure paces the Sugar Bears with 6.5 rebounds per game, with Mullins just behind at 6.3. McClure is coming off her first collegiate double-double, getting 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss to Southeast Missouri.
Sunday's game is the Sugar Bears' final non-conference road game, with three straight home games to round out the non-conference schedule with Williams Baptist coming to the Farris Center on Tuesday, Blue Mountain College on Thursday and Austin Peay on Dec. 30. In all, five of UCA's next six games are at home, with Southland Conference season beginning on Jan. 3 at Abilene Christian followed by home games with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Jan. 6 and defending regular season co-champion Stephen F. Austin on Jan. 8.
