Thibodaux, La. – The Central Arkansas women's soccer team continued its road trip on Sunday morning, travelling to Thibodaux, Louisiana to battle the Colonels of Nicholls. A pair of early lapses cost the Bears, who fell to the Colonels by a final tally of 2-0.
Nicholls (8-8-0, 4-5-0 SLC) got on the board in just the second minute, when Jess Coates corralled a pass from Ainsley Pratt and fired a curving shot over the outstretched hand of Central Arkansas keeper
Anna Hughes for a 1-0 lead.
The Colonels when Coates and Kristy Tatom fed Lauren O'Brien, who slid a shot under a diving Hughes for an insurance goal.
Nicholls out-shot Central Arkansas 18 to 12 on the day and held a 10 to seven edge in shots on goal.
Alexandra Wurst led the Central Arkansas offense on the day by putting both of her attempts on goal, while

Brooke Ballard,
Alex Moore, and
Chele Naudin each put one shot on target. Spencer Valdespino led the way for the Colonels, putting four of her five shots on target, while O'Brien and Pratt each had a pair of shots on goal.
Taylor Mosely earned the clean sheet for Nicholls, making seven saves, while Hughes took the loss for Central Arkansas, making eight saves and allowing two goals.
The Bears continue their road swing on Friday night, heading to Beaumont, Texas to take on the Lady Cardinals of Lamar University. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
