After being named Southland Conference Player of the Week on Monday, Courtney Duever was the recipient of another recognition on Tuesday as NCAA Women's Basketball announced her as Player of the Week via
Twitter.
Duever had 22 points and 10 rebounds, including 14 and 9 in the second half, as the Sugar Bears went to Oxford and defeated the Rebels 66-63 on Sunday. It followed a 12-point, 7-rebound effort in just 19 minutes in a 71-39 rout of Alcorn State in the season opener last Friday.
Duever and the 2-0 Sugar Bears are back home in the Farris Center Thursday against Central Baptist at 5:30 in the first half of a doubleheader with the 2013 Southland Conference champion UCA volleyball team, then take to the road to face Indiana on Monday.
