Cheyenne, Wyoming native JennaRae Jester joined the Central Arkansas staff for the 2015 season as an assistant coach.

Jester, who graduated from Wyoming following a successful playing career in 2010, spent the previous season as a volunteer assistant at Colorado State, where she helped lead the Rams to a 31-3 record, a Mountain West title, and a berth in the Regional Semifinals of the NCAA Tournament. The 31 wins and .912 winning percentage both rank second in CSU history. In her role as volunteer assistant, Jester was involved in every facet of the program, taking a large role in opponent scouting and helping in on-court training.

Prior to coaching at Colorado State, Jester spent two seasons at Chadron State College, serving as a graduate assistant and completing her master’s degree.

At Wyoming, Jester was a three-year starter, collecting 89 starts for the Cowgirls. During her junior season, she led Wyoming in blocks and hitting percentage, while ranking second in the Mountain West with 1.34 blocks per set as a senior. She finished her career with 336 total blocks, the eighth-best tally in Wyoming history. After graduating, she spent the 2011 season as a student-assistant for the Cowgirls.

Jester was even more successful in the classroom, graduating with a degree in business management and a GPA of 3.9. She was a three-time Mountain West Academic All-Conference selection and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete, two-time Academic All-District honoree, and a 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-American.
In the fall of 2010, Jester was one of 30 finalists for the prestigious Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award, which is given to the top senior volleyball player who exemplifies excellence on the court, in the classroom, in the community, and who has great character. She was a member of Wyoming’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and served as vice president in 2009-10.

Jester was born in San Antonio, Texas and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She won two state championships at Cheyenne East High School and was the senior class president.
