Brianna McCombs

McCombs joins the UCA staff after spending the 2023-2024 season with the Miami of Ohio RedHawks. Before that time, she was at Jacksonville for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, McCombs started her collegiate coaching career at the University of Ohio in the 2020-2021 season, helping lead the Bobcats to an 12-8 record in the spring season.

McCombs, a native of Franklin, Tennessee, began her playing career at Middle Tennessee State University. While she totaled 470 digs, 24 service aces, and 72 assists with the Blue Raiders, that would be her only season in Murphreesboro, as she would transfer to Lipscomb. While with the Bisons, she earned a spot on the ASUN First Team All-Conference as well as an ASUN Defensive Player of the Year award.

Quote from head coach John Newberry on McCombs joining the UCA staff: "I’m very excited for Bri to be joining us. She has had some great experience as a player and college coach. She’s extremely driven and very vocal as a person. She will be instrumental in leading our defensive efforts in the back row. I love her straight forwardness and her “why.” It aligns well with the program visions and goals."
