Holly Stewart joined the Central Arkansas softball staff as a volunteer Director of Development in 2024 before being named a full-time assistant in 2025. Stewart, who played her collegiate softball at South Alabama and Jacksonville State, has been a welcome addition to the Bears staff.
The 2025 season saw a young Central Arkansas team that featured four full-time starting freshmen, competing against one of the toughest schedules in the country. And behind the coaching of Stewart, paired with the on-field leadership of seniors Kylie Griffin and Madi Young, the Bears went 28-27, earning a fourth-straight top-three seed in the ASUN Championship.
In 2024, Stewart helped develop a Bears team that brought back only three starters from the previous season. In addition to the continued development of ASUN Defensive Player of the Year Kylie Griffin, the Bears saw a bunch of young players step up and improve over the course of the season. Freshman left fielder Renee Christian came in and hit .304 and earned a spot on the ASUN All-Freshman Team, growing as a player over the season and eventually taking over the lead-off spot.
