Josh Lowery joined the UCA basketball program in 2015-16 as an assistant coach. Lowery graduated from Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Ariz. in 2009. He attended Pepperdine University from 2009-2012 and Grand Canyon University from 2012-13.

   Lowery received his bachelor's degree in communications, with a minor in marketing.

   Lowery played on a state championship team at Desert Vista in 2009. He played point guard for Pepperdine from 2009-12. At Grand Canyon, Lowery was a first-team All-Conference guard in 2013 and second-team All-Region selection. He was drafted by the NBA D-League Bakersfield Jam in 2013.

   Lowery, who is single, has five brothers, Jeremiah, Jeffery, Jacob, Jordan and Jason. Jeffery currently plays for UCA. Â
