University of Central Arkansas Athletics

Walker Ashburn  was hired by the University of Central Arkansas in May 2023. He went to school at John Curtis HS. He earned his Bachelor’s from the University of Nebraska and his masters from Tulane University.

Ashburn played for the University of Nebraska from 2010 to 2013.

Ashburn started coaching at Tulane University from 2014 to 2017 (DL GA 2014-2015) (QC 2016-2017). He then went to Arkansas Monticello where he was the DL coach, defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coordinator from 2018 to 2023. Ashburn came to UCA in 2023 where he is currently the defensive line/co-special teams coordinator. 

At Tulane he helped coach 2 All Conference Players who went on to be drafted to the NFL. During his time at UAM he coached 8 All Conference Players.
