University of Central Arkansas Athletics

Jake Walker was hired as a coach at the University of Central Arkansas in 2022. He graduated from Dyer County High School. He went to college at Reedley Junior College before transferring to Arkansas State University and getting his Bachelor’s in Communications. He played QB for all three teams. 

Walker’s coaching career started at Lipscomb Academy where he was the QB coach. He then moved to Shiloh Christian where he was also the QB coach. He then went to Brentwood Academy where he was the co-offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach before joining UCA, where he served as the graduate assistant in 2022, the tight end coordinator in 2024, and now the wide receiver coordinator.

As a coach, Walker was a part of the TSSAA State Championship at Lipscomb Academy in 2021.  He coached Eli Wisdom, a current UCA WR,  who was the AR Gatorade Player of the year at Shiloh Christian. He also coached current UCA QB, Luther Richesson, who was an All-State QB and MR football finalist. Walker was part of the 2022 ASUN Championship team. He also coordinated the #1 passing offense in yards per game in Tennessee at Brentwood Academy in 2023.
