UCA Baseball Camp FAQ’s
Recommended Items to Bring:
· Baseball Glove
· Cleats
· Baseball Cap
· Tennis Shoes (for working out indoors)
· Baseball Pants
· T-shirts, Shorts, Sweatshirts, Sweatpants, Socks, etc.
· Bat (optional)
Be sure to label your son’s items with his name and a phone number. Due to the large number of campers, belongings can easily be misplaced or mistaken. If any of the items are lost or stolen, the UCA Baseball program is not responsible for reimbursement. However, if your child loses a piece of equipment and it is recovered, we will be glad to send it to you.
Does my camper need to bring money to camp?
Bringing money to camp is not a requirement, but if your camper would like to purchase a drink, snack, or souvenir then we suggest you pack some extra cash. Otherwise, water stations will be set up on site.
Do I need to send food with my camper?
No, you do not need to send food with your camper. For campers staying overnight, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided. For those campers just staying the full day, only lunch will be provided. If your camper has a food allergy or a special circumstance, please inform the camp director so we can make a special note of it.
What can my camper expect to learn from camp?
The UCA Winter Baseball Camps are geared to provide coaching, competition, and facilities necessary for rapid improvement through fundamental drills and game situations. Through lectures, information will be provided on position thinking, goal setting, and other skills designed to make a difference helping campers to fulfill their potential on and off the baseball field. The camps will feature: hitting or pitching specialty instructions, guest speakers, and a plan to help your child reach his potential and become a complete hitter/pitcher.
Will my child be supervised?
Yes, supervision will be provided by our staff at all times. There will also be a trainer on location to help ensure safety for all of the campers.
