2021 SEASON: made a team-high 23 appearances (1 start) as the Bears' closer... finished with a 6-3 record and 9 saves, and had a 2.43 earned-run average...  named the Southland Conference Relief Pitcher of the Year and first-team All-SLC selection... named a third-team All-American and a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball... struck out 84 with just 15 walks in 66.2 innings... had one start and turned in a complete-game, three-hit shutout against Stephen F. Austin (9-0 win), striking out 12 and walking 1... threw a career-high 120 pitches... also saved a game in the SFA series, and one earlier that week against Arkansas State to earn SLC Pitcher of the Week honors... pitched 12 innings with 18 strikeouts and just 1 walk and no runs allowed that week... struck out at least two batters in 18 of his 23 appearances, with highs of 12, 9 and six (four times)... had six Ks in his collegiate debut against Missouri State on Feb. 27 for his first career save... other than the 9 innings in his lone start, did not throw more than 4.2 innings in a game the rest of the season... his 9 saves is tied for third on the UCA career list (record is 19)
