CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's soccer team hits the road for one final non-conference match, traveling to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to face Southeast Missouri State. Kickoff against the Redhawks is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
 
The Bears (3-4-1) have one more opportunity to tune up before the start of UAC matches, after dropping a 5-0 result at Oklahoma State last time out. The Bears had chances early in the match, outshooting the Cowgirls 4-1 in the first 20 minutes, but couldn't find the net before the home team got going.
 
 Eight games into the season, Central Arkansas has tallied 13 goals and 11 assists, getting contributions from nine players in the scoring column. Caroline Billings leads the team with four goals, one of four Bears with multiple goals on the season. Jama Akpanudo has four assists this season, also leading the squad. The junior forward is one of seven players with an assist, and is the only one with more than two so far this season.
 
On the other side of the pitch on Sunday will be a SEMO team that is struggling offensively this year, holding a 1-6-2 record. The Redhawks have only scored three goals in nine matches, and the team has yet to score in consecutive matches. Last time out, the Redhawks dropped a 4-1 final score at Western Kentucky.
 
Defense has also been a source of mixed results for SEMO, and the team has as many shutouts as games allowing four or more goals. The three non-losses on record (one win, two draws) have all been shutouts for the Redhawks, but on the other hand, SEMO has given up 19 goals in the other six matches.
 
Kickoff against SEMO is set for 1 p.m. in Cape Girardeau. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+, with live stats available online.
