CONWAY, Ark. — The Central Arkansas men's soccer team will be back on the road tomorrow in Orem, Utah, to take on Utah Valley at 6 p.m.
Central Arkansas (0-0-1) enters the match up looking to build off its season-opening performance against Drake. Senior Maxim Sheenkov will look to add to his season-opening goal, while Rico Duggan and Kyle Schwartz will look to find the back of the net after recording two shots apiece against the Bulldogs. Defender Logan Smith also provided a spark off the bench, playing 65 minutes and recording an assist. Senior goalkeeper Merrick Cook made three saves in the opener and enters Monday's match with a .750 save percentage.
The match up with the Wolverines will be the first meeting between the two schools. Along with a new opponent, Utah Valley has a new face at the helm. Michael Chesler is in his first year as the Wolverines' head coach, but he has had numerous stints with the men's soccer program. Central Arkansas head coach Kyle Segebart will look to pick up his first road win and lead the Bears to their first victory of the young season.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at UCCU Stadium in Orem, Utah. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+, with live statistics available online.
