LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Central Arkansas (26-19, 13-8) secured a 6–3 victory over Bellarmine (17-26, 9-12) on Sunday at Knights Field. The Bears have now won 3 ASUN series in a row and have swept their ASUN opponents in their last 2 series.
Central Arkansas capitalized on two home runs and tallied 14 strikeouts to secure the win.
Bellarmine took an early lead in the bottom of the first inning. Landon Akers doubled to left center and scored on AJ Swader's double down the right-field line. Eli Watson followed with a double to right field, bringing in Swader, giving Bellarmine a 2–0 lead after one inning.
Central Arkansas responded in the top of the third inning.
Zane Denton walked and
Zeb Allen launched a two-run home run to right field, tying the game at 2–2. The inning concluded with the score even. Allen extended his UCA single season home run record and his ASUN leading home run total to 17.
In the fourth inning,
Keaton Laidley homered to right field, giving Central Arkansas its first lead of the game at 3–2 through four innings.
Bellarmine tied the game in the sixth inning when AJ Swader homered to right field, evening the score at 3–3.
Central Arkansas regained the lead in the eighth inning. Allen singled, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, and scored on another wild pitch, putting Central Arkansas ahead 4–3.
In the ninth inning, Central Arkansas added insurance runs.
Jack Runsick reached on an error and advanced to third on a wild pitch, then scored on another wild pitch.

Zane Denton's single to right field, extending the lead to 6–3.
Jacob Pannell delivered a solid performance on the mound for Central Arkansas, pitching 5 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts. He allowed three earned runs, five hits, and issued one walk while throwing 76 pitches, 52 of which were strikes.
Hunter Alexander took over in relief, completing 3 2/3 innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out seven. Alexander issued two walks but secured the win, improving his season record to 5-1.
