The Central Arkansas Beach Volleyball team opened play in Louisiana on Friday, falling in a pair of matches to Tulane and McNeese at the White Sands Volleyball Courts.

The Beach Bears first faced Tulane in the morning dual, where the Green Wave earned a 5–0 victory. Tulane won all five courts in straight sets to secure the sweep.

Anna Linskey and Natalie Blum competed on court one for Central Arkansas against Tulane's Emma Morris and Katie Hansen. Madelyn White and Chandler Lawrence represented the Beach Bears on court two, while Anna Jaworski and Allison Heck played on court three. Ella Layzell and Brooke Sharp took the sand on court four, and Audrey Cathcart and Reegan Siewert rounded out the lineup on court five.

Tulane secured the clinching point on court two before finishing the sweep.

Central Arkansas returned to the sand Friday afternoon for a matchup with McNeese. The Cowgirls also earned a 5–0 victory, though several courts featured closely contested sets.

The closest match of the dual came on court one, where Linskey and Blum pushed McNeese's McKenna Malone and Kendall Osgood to three sets. After dropping the first set 21–19, the Beach Bear pair responded with a 21–19 win in the second before McNeese took the deciding set 15–11.

Cathcart and Reegan Siewert nearly forced a third set on court five but fell in a tight second set, 22–20. Layzell and Sharp also battled on court three, dropping a competitive first set 21–19 before falling in the second.

McNeese clinched the dual on court five before closing out the remaining matches.

With the two losses, Central Arkansas moves to 4–9 overall on the season.

The Beach Bears return to action Saturday with two more matches in New Orleans. Central Arkansas will face Texas A&M–Kingsville at 8:30 a.m. before closing the weekend against host Southeastern at 11 a.m.
