Preview: Bears are on a Two Game Road Trip at Lipscomb and UNA

Conway, Ark.- The University of Central Arkansas Bears (13-10, 8-2) are on the road for two ASUN games. First the Bears will be in Nashville, Tennessee to take on the Lipscomb University Bison (15-9, 8-3) on Saturday afternoon, tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. The Bison are 2-7 all time against the Bears and are currently on a four-game win streak against the Bears. This will be the third game in a row between these two teams in Nashville, the last meeting was in the quarterfinals of the ASUN tournament. The Bears will then head down to Florence, Alabama to take on the North Alabama Lions (7-14, 2-8) for a tip-off at 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening. This is a reschedule from when this game was postponed due to the winter storm.
 
The Bears won their sixth game in a row last Wednesday, beating UNA 81-60. This is the first time the Bears have ever won six conference games in a row as a member of the NCAA (D1 or D2) dating back to the 2001-02 season. Against UNA, Luke Moore led the way with 15 points and 7 assists. Cole McCormick had 14 points. Ty Robinson and Javion Guy-King both added 12 points. The Bears have been really good at home but haven't had as much success on the road this season. However, the Bears have won their last two road games as part of this current win streak. In the ten ASUN games the Bears have played this season they are averaging 84.8 points per game while shooting 48% from the field, 38% from 3-point range and 74% from the free throw line.
 
The Bison have lost two of their last three games, all three of those games were on the road. At home this season the Bison are 11-0. The Bison have five players averaging 10 or more points per game. They are led by graduate student Grant Asman who is averaging 14 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. So far this season the Bison are scoring 81.3 points per game while shooting 48% from the field, 38% from 3-point range and 78% from the free throw line in ASUN games.

The UNA Lions are 1-6 over their last seven games including a loss in Conway on Wednesday. They have not won an ASUN game at home this season. The Lions will play at Austin Peay on Saturday before the Monday night game with the Bears. Donte Bacchus and Canin Jefferson are leading the Lions in scoring in ASUN games, both averaging 15 points per game. As a team the Lions are averaging 70 points per game while shooting 45% from the field, 31% from 3-point range and 68% from the free throw line in ASUN games.

Saturday's tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. from Allen Arena and the Monday night tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. from CB&S Bank Arena at Flowers Hall. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+, The Bear 91.3 and Jack 92.7 or you can follow live stats online.
