CONWAY, Ark. – After bursting onto the scene this past week for the Sugar Bears, freshman Annie Hopkins has earned UAC Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Hopkins set a career high in kills in the comeback win over Tarleton State on Thursday with nine kills and one error on 15 swings, hitting .533. In Saturday's sweep of West Georgia, Hopkins hit .333, with six kills and a career high three blocks.

On the week, the Edmond, Okla. native hit .433 in the two wins, with 15 total kills, 17 total points and averaging 2.14 kills per set and 2.43 points per set.

The Sugar Bears will be back at home tomorrow night against Little Rock with first serve set for 6 p.m. at the Prince Center.
