CONWAY, Ark. – Central Arkansas Volleyball Coach
John Newberry has signed a contract extension, keeping the 2025 ASUN Conference Tournament Champion and 2024 ASUN Coach of the Year in Conway through the 2028 season.

Coach Newberry, a 2005 graduate of UCA, became the Head Volleyball Coach in 2020. Coach Newberry was also an Assistant on the volleyball staff from 2012-2014 and Associate Head Coach from 2017-2019. During his time with the Sugar Bears, the program has won regular season titles and conference tournaments in both the Southland Conference and the ASUN Conference, with the program making four trips to the NCAA tournament.
