CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's soccer team is on Island Time for the next couple of games, playing in the University of Hawaii's OUTRIGGER Kickoff. The Bears start with a midnight matchup against the Rainbow Wahine, as the clock hits 12 a.m. rolling into Friday morning.
The Bears (1-1) found a win in their second home game of the season, downing ULM 3-1 on a blistering Sunday. Three players scored in the win as Central Arkansas stormed back from a one-goal deficit at half.
Caroline Billings started the scoring,
Makenna Adam logged the game-winner, and
Trace Pavatt added the insurance as the Bears picked up their first win of the season.
Billings' goal marked her second score of the season, making her one of nine ASUN players to score two or more goals in the first weekend of the regular season. She is the first Bear to score twice over the first two games of a season since 2017, when Dayna Mounie scored twice in the second game of the season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Hawaii (0-1-1) played two games in California to start the year, falling 2-1 at Long Beach State before picking up a 2-2 draw at Pepperdine. Against the Waves, the Rainbow Wahine fell behind 2-0 in the first 20 minutes, but stormed back in the final 20 minutes of the match to secure a draw, scoring on a pair of corner kicks. Leila Kahoano has been responsible for a goal in each match, scoring against Long Beach State and adding an assist against Pepperdine.
The match marks the first meeting between the Bears and 'Bows, and kicks off at midnight Thursday night. The game will have live stats available online.
