RICHMOND, Ky. – The Central Arkansas Beach Bears battled through a competitive weekend at the ASUN North Challenge, finishing 1-2 with a strong win over Austin Peay and hard-fought match against Eastern Kentucky.

Match 2: Central Arkansas 4, Austin Peay 1 (April 5)

UCA bounced back in a big way Saturday morning, earning a 4-1 victory over the Governors. All four wins came in straight sets:

1. Anna Linskey and Riley Melton (UCA) def. Austin/Morris (APSU) 21-11 21-18

2. Madelyn White and Kenzie Foley (UCA) def. Freel/Clark (APSU) 21-18 25-23

3. Ella Layzell and Katie Atkinson (UCA) def. Beneteau/Cooper (APSU) 21-19 21-15

4. MacKenzie/Lasater (APSU) def. Reegan Siewert and Audrey Cathcart (UCA) 21-10 21-19

5. Ella Weilert and Liliana Irizary (UCA) def. Greene/Loiars (APSU) 21-19 21-8

Austin Peay claimed its lone point on court four, but the Bears' performance was dominant across the board.

The Beach Bears closed the weekend against host EKU, falling 5-0 in a match that was closer than the scoreline suggests. Two pairings went to three sets:
