Springfield, MO. –The UCA Beach Bears wrapped up a competitive weekend with a 3-1 record, securing dominant sweeps over Southwest Baptist and Hendrix before edging out Lindenwood in a tight 3-2 victory. The weekend concluded with a tough 0-5 loss to Missouri State, but UCA showed resilience across all matchups.  

Friday, Feb. 28 | UCA 5, Southwest Baptist 0
UCA opened the weekend with a commanding 5-0 sweep over Southwest Baptist, setting the tone with straight-set victories in all five pairings. Anna Linskey and Riley Melton battled through three sets at the No. 1 spot, ultimately securing the win 21-18, 20-22, 15-10, while the rest of the lineup handled business in two-set wins.

UCA faced its toughest battle of the weekend in a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Lindenwood. Katie Atkinson and Audrey Cathcart came through in the clutch at No. 3, rallying from a set down to secure the decisive win and push UCA past the Lions.
