KENNESAW, Ga. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team played two rounds at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate, playing 36 holes at the Pinetree Country Club. The Bears finished the day in eighth, led by
Valeria Ramirez, who finished the day in eighth-place.
Ramirez capped the day at one stroke under par, after a 4-under 67 in the second round. The junior tallied seven birdies in round two, including four on a 32-stroke front nine.
Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir is three strokes back of her teammate, turning in a 2-over 73. She was one stroke under par at the turn, scoring a birdie on hole one to score a 35.
Emma Leroy Fabry claims a top-25 spot after the first day, penciling in a 6-over 148 on Monday. She tallied four birdies on the back nine in round two, ending the second 18 holes with a 2-over 73.
Camila Negroni capped the day at a 158, and
Tiana Eldem ended the 36 holes with a score of 162.
Texas Tech leads the field, five strokes above Notre Dame in second and six strokes above South Alabama in third. Notre Dame's Alexsandra Lapple is in first place, three strokes under par. Texas Tech's Danique Stokmans is in second place, one stroke behind the leader, and two golfers are tied for third.
