CONWAY, Ark. – Central Arkansas baseball dropped its series finale against Central Connecticut on Sunday, falling 6-2 after holding an early lead.
The Bears moved to 4-6 with the decision.
Jacob Pannell started on the mound for Central Arkansas, throwing 6.0 innings and allowing just one earned run, striking out five.
Owen Tracy got the scoring started in the second, blasting his first home run of the season out to the video board in left field. Central Connecticut answered in the top of the third, leveling the game on four-straight plate appearances to get a runner aboard and moved around.

Nathan Negre put the Preseason All-ASUN outfielder home. The 2-1 lead would hold until the seventh inning, when Central Connecticut loaded the bases with one out, and a grand slam flipped the script and put the Bears back three.
The Blue Devils added one more in the eight to seal the deal, and the Central Arkansas offense couldn't generate enough to get back into it.
Central Arkansas will be in Memphis on Tuesday for the next one, facing off with the Tigers in midweek action in the Bluff City. First pitch is at 4 p.m.
