CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will recognize a pair of players and a student assistant prior to Monday's home finale against North Alabama at 6:30 p.m. at the Farris Center.
Elias Cato and Glory Etim will be playing their final home games, while Sam Sturdivant will be working his final game at the Farris Center.
Cato, a 6-foot-9 guard/forward from Queensland, Australia, is UCA's only four-year senior. Cato came to UCA from Sunrise Christian Academy in 2021-22 and has played in 97 career games with 51 starts as a Bear.
Cato has career highs of 29 points against Florida Gulf Coast on Jan. 11, 2025 and 11 rebounds vs. Southwest Christian (Dec. 29,2024). He has scored in double figures 46 times in his career 4 career double-doubles.Â
Etim, a 6-9 forward from Richmond, Calif., who played at North Little Rock High School, transferred to UCA from Bowling Green University prior to the 2023-24 season. In his first season at UCA, Etim played in 31 games with 28 starts and averaged 5.4 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds with 33 blocked shots. He shot 53.3 percent from the field.

Sturdivant, a Conway native who graduated from White County Central High School, has served as a student manager and student assistant for the past four years and has been a valuable part of the Bears' basketball program under head coaches Anthony Boone and John Shulman.Â
UCA will be facing North Alabama for the second time this season. The Lions are 20-9 overall and 12-4 in the ASUN, and tied for first place with Lipscomb with two games remaining. The No. 1 seed will host games at home all the way to the championship game.Â
The Bears need a win in their last two games against UNA or Lipscomb, or a West Georgia loss to either Queens or Austin Peay, to make the field. The tournament starts on Sunday on campus sites.
