Conway, Ark.- The University of Central Arkansas Bears (5-7, 0-0) and the Southern Methodist Mustangs from the ACC (9-2, 0-0) are scheduled to match-up on Sunday, December 21st, tip-off is set for 1 p.m. The game will take place in Dallas, Texas at Moody Coliseum. This is the 2nd meeting between the two programs. The first time was in 2010 in Dallas, the Mustangs won 72-76. This game will be the Bears last non-conference game before ASUN play starts on New Years Day.
The Bears are coming off a fun outing at home for Education Day where 2,000+ elementary and middle school students had a great time cheering on the Bears to a big 102-47 victory. The Bears are now 5-1 at home, the only loss was in overtime. In those 5 wins, the Bears have won by an average of 37.6 points. The Bears are still looking for their first road win of the season. Cam Hunter (16.3) and Ty Robinson (12.2) are both averaging more than 10 points per game.
The Mustangs are also playing very well at home with a 7-0 record. Their only two losses came at Vanderbilt and a "neutral site" game in New Orleans against LSU. The Mustangs have out-scored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points in their 9 wins.
