Preview: Bears at Home Tomorrow for Education Day

Conway, Ark.- The University of Central Arkansas Bears (4-7, 0-0) and the Kansas Christian Falcons (3-7, 0-0) are scheduled to match-up on Wednesday, December 17th, tip-off is set for 11 a.m. The game will take place in Conway, Ark at the Farris Center. This is the first meeting between the two programs. This game will be Education Day for the Conway community, we are expecting around 2,000 elementary and middle school students to be in attendance.

The Bears are coming off of a good outing in Nashville where the Bears played the Commodores well, holding them 13 points below their season average and being down just nine with a minute to go in the game. Wednesday's game will close out the home portion of their non-conference schedule, the next time the Bears play at home will be in the New Year when ASUN conference games begin. So far this season the Bears are scoring 73.5 points per game, shooting 42% from the field, 31% on 3 pointers and 62% from the free throw line. Cam Hunter is averaging 16.1 points per game and Ty Robinson is averaging 12.2 points per game.

On the other side, the Falcons are scoring 81.7 points per game, are shooting 43% from the field, 34% from 3 point range and 68% from the free throw line. Damon Werts is leading the Falcons with 24.2 points per game. Werts was named NCCAA National Player of the Week earlier in the season.
