Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (2-4, 0-0) are in the Farris Center on Tuesday, November 24th at 6:30 p.m. to take on the Panthers from Eastern Illinois (2-3, 0-0). This will be the fourth meeting between the two programs. The first two meetings took place in 2011 and in 2012, the first meeting was in Conway and the second one was in Charleston, Ill., the Bears won both of those games. In 2023, also in Charleston, the Bears won 73-70, Javion Guy-King had 6 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists for the Bears.

The Bears are coming off their best performance of the season when the Bears dominated EWU on Sunday. The Bears shot 55% from the field and 50% from 3-point range and turned the Eagles over 22 times. The Bears had 5 players score in double digits. Camren Hunter scored 19 points, Ty Robinson had 18, Luke Moore had 12, Cole McCormick had 11 and Javion Guy-King had 10. As a team so far this season, the Bears are shooting 41% from the field, 29% from 3-point range and 62% from the free throw line.

Eastern Illinois also has two wins on the young season, a 65-57 win versus Nicholls and a 62-50 win over Tiffin University. So far this season the Panthers are led by four players, all averaging 10 or more points per game. Zion Fruster is scoring 16, Kooper Jacobi with 11.4, Preston Turner with 11 and Terry McMorris with 10.6 point per game. As a team the Panthers are shooting 39% from the field, 28% from 3-point range and 72% from the free throw line.
