Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (1-4, 0-0) are in the Farris Center on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to take on the Eagles from Eastern Washington (1-4, 0-0). This will be the first meeting between the two programs.
The Bears are looking to have a similar performance to the one they had last week in the Farris Center when the Bears led nearly every statistical comparison in the game with Samford. The Bears lost in OT to a great shooting team but Bears showed a ton of potential as the team continues to build and grow towards ASUN play in January. Last time out at UNT, Cam Hunter led the Bears with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Hunter scored his 1,000th point for his career in the game at UNT, another big milestone in his career. For the season Hunter is averaging 14.4 points per game. Ty Robinson is also averaging double digits with 10.6 points per game. As a team the Bears are shooting 39% from the field, 25% from 3 point range and 62% from the free throw line.
Eastern Washington is coming south for a two-game swing. The first one, here in Conway on Sunday and then the Eagles will travel over to Denton Texas to play UNT on Tuesday. So far this season, the Eagles are led by Senior Guard Isaiah Moses who is averaging 18.8 points a game. The only other Eagle averaging more than 10 points per game is Junior Forward, Alton Hamilton IV with 11 points per game. As a team the Eagles are shooting 46% from the field, 33% from 3 point range and 78% from the free throw line.
Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+, The Bear 91.3 and Jack 92.7 or you can follow live stats online.
