FORT MYERS, Fla. — The #4-seed Central Arkansas Sugar Bears open the ASUN Tournament on Thursday, November 20, facing #5-seed Lipscomb in the Quarterfinals at 9 a.m. CT.
UCA enters at 15–11 overall and 12–4 in the ASUN, having split the regular-season series with the Bisons. The Sugar Bears bring a balanced attack led by Laci Bohannan (319 kills) and Gabby Tuiaana (257 kills), while Caylan Koons (816 assists) continues to command the offense. Defensively, Alexis McDaniel ranks among the conference leaders with 396 digs, and McKinzee Haas anchors the net with 109 blocks. Additional contributors include Samantha Cousins (179 kills), Greyson Button (75 blocks) and Ella Chaney (20 aces).
Lipscomb enters at 14–12 (10–6 ASUN) behind a high-powered offense featuring Courtney Jones (354 kills) and Berkley Mischler (276 kills). Setter Sophia Hudepohl (1,008 assists) leads the Bisons' tempo and adds pressure with 30 aces, while libero Kenzie Kucks (300 digs) and middle blocker Mischler (74 blocks) fuel the defense. The Bisons also get key production from Ella Durham (218 kills, 29 aces) and Brooklyn Fuchs (49 blocks).
