Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (1-3, 0-0) will travel to Denton Texas to take on American Conference member, the North Texas Mean Green (3-2, 0-0) on Thursday, November 20
th in The Super Pit, tip-off is set for 7p.m. This will be the second meeting between the two programs, UNT won 64-55 in 2013 in Texas.
The Bears, coming off a tough overtime loss to Samford last time out, are looking for another good performance as they continue to grow in the process through the non-conference portion of the schedule. The Bears led the Bulldogs in nearly every statistic and played their best game so far this year. The Bears had two players score in double digits against the Bulldogs, Cam Hunter had 26 points and
Javion Guy-King had 13. For the season, the Bears are shooting 43% from the floor, 25% on 3s and 65% from the free throw line.
UNT is looking to bounce back after their 80-49 loss at Saint Mary's in their last game. So far this season UNT is shooting 41% from the floor and 38% from behind the 3 point arc. They are led by Je'shawn Stevenson who is averaging 14.8 points per game and Will McClendon with 13 point per game.
